Dec 2012 Updates

If anyone cares, we aren't dead. These last several months mark the longest live hiatus we have taken since the start of the band in late 2009, but it doesn't mean we have been any less productive. Below are general updates for December:

>>In less than one month, Dethroned Emperor is scheduled to record its first full-length. The name is pending. We have taken a live-hiatus for the last three months in order to focus on refining the material, but once January is upon us, expect the Emperor'rs return to live performances.
>>If you won't see us locally in the next two months and intend to get a copy of the new split, we suggest ordering a tape now becuase our supply is just about run out and this tape will not be repressed.
>>We still have a solid supply of Ripping-Death compilation CDs. There are still a few t-shirts as well in S, M, and L (though the M supply is just about done).

Update Oct 22:

>>The split with Pharaoh is at press. This will be done before the end of October! I'm expecting to have the tapes by this coming weekend.

>>The full length (title pending) recording session has been arranged for the end of December. Run time is looking to be about 36 minutes. We are currently seeking a label for distribution/production.
>>Ripping Death compilation and accompanying t-shirt still available. Pick this up if you missed WGH or Undermine, as it features remastered material from both as well as new tracks.

A note about upcoming shows...

...because there aren't any, and won't be for a little while.

Dethroned Emperor is taking a hiatus from playing local shows for the next few months as we prepare the full-length album we've been composing over the last 2.5 years.

In the meantime we would suggest grabbing a beer, putting your feet up, and listening to forensick or desecration of the holy kingdom until your fucking head blows up.

April Update

The official Dethroned Emperor/Dystrophy tape release show will be happening this weekend, Saturday the 14th, at the Alamo (New Brunswick, NJ).
Following this we will not be performing for at least a month in order to prepare and record new material.
Additionally, the DE/Pharaoh split is still complete and awaiting a proper release, more to come about this.

Still looking for tapes? Though we are sold out, you can still find copies of the split and UNDERMINE through HUMAN TRAFFICKING and Analog Worship.
Also, you can still order the split through RTF Records.
As of now we have no more t-shirts.

split w/ Dystrophy review and availability

UPDATE (as of March 7): We are still waiting on physical copies. According to the RTF webstore, their tapes which have been up for pre-order were supposed to ship "around March 5." We have still heard nothing from RTF about either their or our copies arriving. As far as I know, these delays are beyond RTF's control and related to factory delays, so please continue to bear with us through the wait. In the mean time, there is a download link floating around the RTF message board if you want to go find it.

Hello all,

If you look to your right, you will see a new gadget in place that allows you to sign up for the newly-created Dethroned Emperor mailing list. Given that we do not have a Facebook/Myspace (and never will), a mailing list seems like an effective way to get relevant information about the band out to people who want to hear it. Go ahead and sign up if you'd like. We obviously aren't going to sell your email addresses or whatever, and the stuff we actually send out is likely to be very minimal (probably just show/release updates, merch stuff, etc), but if even that is too much unsubscribing seems pretty simple. Any questions, give us shout.

Feb 3rd w/ Dystrophy, Pyrrhon, Fleshtemple

Due to production delays, the "New Brunswick Death Metal Alliance" split tape will not actually be available for the February 3rd show as intended. Regardless the show will continue as planned with the same lineup at Ray Cappo's Cantina in NB. This show will be a public debut of the Undermine tape instead. Also, Veld (MA) has been added to the show.

The official release of the Dystrophy/Dethroned Emperor split will fall sometime in late February. Keep posted for that and for updates about the split w/ Pharaoh (which is currently in the mastering process).
